Marc S. TovsteinMarc Tovstein was a founding partner of Tovstein & Kraetzer which was formed in 1977.

Mr. Tovstein specializes in complex family law matters which includes dissolution of marriages, support issues and business valuations. A large part of his practice deals with self-employed professionals. He also negotiates and drafts sophisticated premarital agreements.

Mr. Tovstein was admitted to the California bar in 1976 and became a Certified Family Law Specialist in 1985.

Mr. Tovstein is a past president of the Orange County Bar Family Law section. He also served on and chaired the Family Law Advisory Committee of the State Bar.

In 1999 Mr. Tovstein was the recipient of the Family Law Trial Lawyer of the Year Award presented by the Orange County Trial Lawyers Association.

In 2014 Mr. Tovstein was awarded the prestigious Garrity Award by his peers in the Orange County Family Law Section of the Bar. This award is given to the “quintessential Family Law Lawyer” who exhibits the highest level of excellence and professionalism. The award has been given only 7 times since its inception in 1995.

Mr. Tovstein has consistently been listed as a “Super Lawyer” since the inception of the publication in 2004 and was named one of the top 50 lawyers in Orange County. He has been rated as an “AV Preeminent” attorney by Martindale-Hubbell’s Attorney Directory, the highest rating available to an attorney.

Mr. Tovstein has been a lecturer for the California Continuing Education of the Bar for over 30 years lecturing other attorneys in Recent Developments in Family Law and has lectured in various seminars for the Orange County Family Law Section of the Bar.

Mr. Tovstein has served as a Judge Pro Tem for the Orange County Family Law Court in which he presided over family law matters. In addition, Mr. Tovstein is highly regarded as a skilled mediator in family law matters.


Noah Armijo is an associate attorney with Tovstein & Kraetzer.

Mr. Armijo attended the University of California, Riverside, where he studied Philosophy and Law & Society.

Mr. Armijo began working at Tovstein & Kraetzer in 2012 and earned his Juris Doctorate from Whittier Law School. He was admitted to the California State Bar in 2018.

Mr. Armijo is a member of the Orange County Bar Association Family Law Section.
